Day 1 “Arrival”
Meet in Rome and transfer by private bus to the 4-star hotel "De La Ville" in Avellino
Check-in, briefing with Stefania, our Italian guide
Poolside welcome drinks and dinner. In case of bad weather aperitivo and dinner at the "Cavaliere" agroturismo.
Day 2 "Cantine aperte" (open cellars), Taurasi
Breakfast at the hotel.
Travel to the Taurasi area, home to many historical wine cellars and heart of Taurasi Aglianico D.O.C.G. production.
We can enjoy the ancient Taurasi village, castle, and, Caggiano Cellars. We'll taste wines including Macchia dei Goti, Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo paired with local food.
Visit to "Lapio" winery for a special tasting of "Cleila Romana" awarded best white wine 2010.
We proceed to QuintoDecimo winery, where Professor Luigi Moio awaits us for a guided tour, tasting and lesson on his award winning "Falorno" white wine.
Return to the hotel.
Free time or you can choose between Martella or Zi Pasqualina restaurants
Day 3 "Montevergine e Feudi di San Gregorio"
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Montevergine Sanctuary and Loreto Abbey where we can find an herbal shop and a distillery run by monks since ancient times.
We’ll be able to buy liquor, tea, honey and other unique craft products.
Light lunch at a taverna located in Capo Castello medieval village near Mercogliano.
Rest at the Hotel.
In the late afternoon we proceed to a nearby village to visit Feudi di San Gregorio, a world famous winery revoltionizing the production of wine in all southern Italy. They focus on great southern grape varieties like Aglianico, Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo. Cellar and Vineyard tour.
An exclusive dinner at Michelin starred “Marennà” restaurant, a once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy fine dining and wine.
Day 4 "Mirabella"
Trip to Mirabella on the way we will meet “Mastroberadino” winery the oldest of Irpinia, visit and tastings. We proceed to the beautiful Radici Resort for a vineyard tour and delicious lunch.
Afternoon visit to “Aeclanum”- a Roman archaeological park for a guided tour.
Rest at the Hotel.
Aperitivo and dinner at “Vecchio Mulino” restaurant by the river
Day 5 "Amalfi coast and Salerno"
Choice between full day shopping tour in Salerno or day trip to Amalficoast with lunch in a gorgeous setting.
Free time or dinner in Salerno
Or we suggest:
After breakfast departure to Vietri for ceramic shopping.
After this a lemon tasting where you can prepare your own limoncello and lunch awaits you in a beautiful villa overlooking the sea. In the afternoon we proceed to Salerno for a shopping tour.
Return to hotel and free time or dinner in the historic center of Salerno with local specialities.
Day 6 "Summer truffle hunting" Bagnoli and Montella
Day trip to high Irpinia and Laceno lake. Here we find Bagnoli Irpino e Montella villages, popular places of the authentic delicacy of truffles and P.G.I. chestnut
In Bagnoli Irpino we have an educational briefing on Truffles and then we go truffle hunting in mountains and woods .
Truffle tasting after the hunt and light lunch in a country house awaits.
In the evening we visit the beautiful village of Rocca San Felice, where a delicious dinner awaits in the museum’s award winning restaurant.
Day 7 "final wine tastings"
Visit world famous Salvatore Molettieri winery and vineyard with complete tasting of its wines and local food.
Proceed to Altavilla in the Tufo at the Winery "di Marzo" or Villa Raiano
Break at the hotel.
In the evening dinner at Calitri famous for the caciocavallo cheese and Dinner at "Locanda della Arco" featuring local specialty: "Cannazze".
8th Day departure
Transfer to Airport from hotel
